What to Expect

For individuals, our sessions together will be one hour in duration. We will spend 50 minutes together in conversation, and I will spend the last 10 minutes of our time on reflection, note-taking, and planning for our next session.
For couples, our sessions together will be 75 minutes in duration. We will spend 65 minutes together in conversation, and I will spend the last 10 minutes of our time on reflection, note-taking, and planning for our next session.
I work from a relational perspective. This means that I want to understand your experience from your subjective point of view, and to work collaboratively with you to examine the thoughts, beliefs, values, and perspectives that shape you and your interactions with the world. One of the transformative things that happens in therapy is that we experience, often for the first time, the beauty of being truly seen and known. For many people, this process is deeply healing.
I am comfortable working with all kinds of individuals and couples, in all kinds of relationships. My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space for you to engage in this deeply personal work. For this reason, I practice at Danforth East Wellness, a woman-owned business in the east end of Toronto that shares my commitment to equity and diversity.
